If this is the wrong subreddit I apologize but I need your help. A dear family friend recently moved from an apartment on the 16th floor to a different apt on the 10th floor of the same building. This happened 2 months ago. The issue I have is that the building managers have forced him to pay rents for BOTH the 10th and 16th floor. For 2 months going on 3. How is this possible? If it helps we are in NYC and the building in question is a co-op. Please help thank you.
