Almost everyone does presents for christmas. Every year hundreds upon thousands flock to the stores for the latest and greatest. Being in my 30s I have definitely caught the consumer bug when i was younger. This year the wife and I are on pace to buy a house by 2019. This is our dream. Both of us grew up pretty poor and had no talking about money and what saving is.

So for this christmas we got each other......
A card.
Not a credit card, not an iou, not a gift card. Literally just a hey buddy you are my jam thank you for everything. We then spent christmas day watching movies and playing games. We went over the her families house christmas eve and we exhanged presents with her grandparents. I don't talk to my family so no presents were exchanged.

This was by far the best christmas I have ever had. I didnt get anything (her grandparents got me a coffee cup so i technically got something) but the point is. The best present I got was spending time interrupted with the one that rocks my world.

Maybe im alone in this feeling but i just wanted to share my christmas story
