I've seen a lot of people on slickdeals buying phones when they are cheap, cancel their service and keep the phone/use other service providers.
We have 5 lines, (Iphone 7, Iphone6, G6, Note5, galaxy 5) and thinking about switching to MetroPCS. I just bought the G6, been activated for about a week now. (I've read somewhere that it needs to be activated at least 15 days before I can cancel the service.) I've seen some posts but I'm new to this and I would appreciate it if someone can ELI5.
