We bought a house with wooden window sills; unfortunately they all had mould on them. I have cleaned most of them up, although they don't look great, but the bathroom one is a disaster. I've attached a photo below, where I've scrubbed and got rid of most of the mould; do you think it is possible to sandpaper it down further and put new colour on it? I asked a carpenter and he said all he could think of was to put some new wood on top. I don't think that would look good.
