I've been over-analyzing my expenses of late and realized a few particularly sneaky black holes in my budget that were quietly sucking down cash every month. Paper products (paper towels, bath tissue, napkins, etc.) for example cost a small fortune over time if you don't wisely curtail their use. Shopping around for internet plans (half the price from a smaller carrier), ditching cell phone plans altogether, and switching to alternative cat litter (I use wood pellets now) were also sources of surprisingly big savings. I'm going to tweak power and insurance costs next.
So r/frugal/, what are your most sneaky and stealthy budget leaks and how did you plug those holes?
