We haven't used this vent ever, as there is a microwave above the over and that has it's own cutout to the outside.There's an outlet in there, and hey it's live, I had no idea that existed. One of the switches in the picture shown turns it on and off. Tested it, its functioning as one would expect an outlet to function.So what can I do to seal this up and tile? Yes there is a vent hood outside but with the condition of this house I dont want to go out there and chop things up and redo the asbestos based siding, I need to leave the outside in place and somehow seal up the inside so tile can be laid.
