Cheap sunglasses are mostly a given not-buy-it-for-life, but I wanted to comment on Shady Ray's return/replace/refund policy.
I purchased two pairs of sunglasses from them on their buy one get one deal, and recently noticed that one pair started showing some weird degradation on the plastic coating. It looked like the coating had started to crack up like dry paint. Lenses still fine, no "mechanical" issues with the frames, just a slightly annoying cosmetic detail. I emailed customer service to see if they would consider sending a new pair our to replace mine.
They asked for pics of the glasses and then within 12 hours replied saying they were sending me a new pair.
Overall, I'm impressed that they honored their agreement and that they responded so quickly. The frames have taken a beating and have proven to be pretty tough, but knowing the company will follow through on their warranty makes me more confident in recommending them to others.
