Hi r/DIY!I recently bought this lamp rewiring kit: http://ift.tt/2BuMVqm and it was easy enough to follow the instructions for it.However, I noticed that when I turn the on knob once from the off state, the bulb briefly flashes at max brightness and then shuts off. When I turn the knob again, the bulb turns on. Turning it one more time, the bulb remains on, and the 4th turn brings it back to the off state.Does this seem like something wrong with the kit itself? The description states that it should just be an on/off switch, not a dimmer/3-way switch. Is the on/off here actually serving as a dimmer, or did I mess something up? The only real wiring I had to do was to connect the ribbed wire to the neutral/silver terminal, and the smooth wire to hot/bronze one.I'm using a non-dimming bulb (9.5 W LED, 60 W replacement) if that makes a difference. Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2zMfxOO
