Hi everyone,
I'm sure this has been discussed to death and there are merits to each and every option, but I was hoping to get a bit of feedback regarding a few options I was considering and the things that are important to what I'm looking for in a bag. Happy to entertain new options as well!
Need to have:
- High-quality leather which will develop a good patina and be somewhat pliable in day-to-day use
- BIFL; high-quality hardware which can take a beating and still look great
- A long-lived warranty
- At least water resistant - I know this is dependent on the finishing of the leather, but I don't want to worry about having to keep the bag dry if it is raining
- Dark-brown leather
- Laptop compartment for a ~14-15" laptop
- Price point < $1000
Want to have:
- No big logos across the bag that takes away from the overall look of the bag
- Be able to be taken on a plane as a personal item - fit under airplane seats
- A rugged look that also fits in the boardroom
- A trolley flap so that it can rest comfortably on top of a carry-on suitcase

I like having a wide enough bag that can stand up on its own, even if I put things in each of the pockets, and I like the look of the two pockets in front. Anyone have any experiences or recommendations out of these options or any other ones?
