Hey guys. I could really use your help right now because I'm super confused.
First of all, I've been looking for a beard trimmer to pick up from Amazon, and all the "popular" ones (and cordless) are said to die/ not function as well within a few months or so, so I've decided to go deeper and realized I can simply get one of these good clippers (which don't cost all that much more, to be honest).
The thing is that I can't make up my mind between the Andis T Outliner and Superliner. I've seen a bunch of videos, and the Superliner is obviously newer, has snapping blades etc, and yet everyone loves the Outliner. Is it simply because they've had it? Is there a reason to go for the Outliner over the Superliner? (at first I was also considering the Wahl Detailer but probably not anymore).
I know those clippers are mostly for hair, but I don't mind that and could actually use it. The thing, though, is that I'm wondering if I can get some guards for it (for the beard, because I wouldn't want a close shave every time; I'd like to be able to adjust it)
My initial thought was that I would just plug a plug converter (since I'm not from the US) and it will be fine, but I read that you're not supposed to do it and that a 220v to 110v converter is necessary. In fact, I went deeper and read that when you only use voltage converter, it will sound terrible (not in the US) because of the frequency change, which is why you also need to convert 50hz to 60hz. Bottom line, I'm gonna need a 220v/50hz (Europe) to 110v/60hz (US) connection.
I watched this video, and the guy seem to have figured it out quite well and efficiently (also expand his description and read what he says. Kind of confused me with the DC/AC talk because I've been figuring things out in terms of voltages, so I'm not quite sure). The huge plus is that I think I found those items on Amazon. Here and here.
The thing is, that the first item has a US connection, so I'm wondering if this time I will be able to use a simple plug converter (like this one, which is similar to the one I have for my iPhone I've received from the US and use to charge it with).
I'll really appreciate if you guys could help me pick a clipper/trimmer (and/or guards) and then tell me if the solution suggested is ideal or something else might be more efficient.
Thank you!
