Only posting this because it's a mindset that I can easily let myself fall into. I just wanted to say that if you're trying to stick to a budget and want to Black Friday shop, just remember that the "savings" aren't savings if you weren't already planning on buying it. If you had planned to get a $100 microwave and it's on sale for $50, great. But if you see an ad for a half-price microwave and decide you want it, you didn't save $50, you lost $50 that you didn't intend to spend.
I'm sure this is obvious to everyone, but I often catch myself adding up the imaginary savings in my head before realizing that I'm actually losing money I had no intention of spending on a microwave, or whatever the product may be. Happy shopping!
