Hey guys. So, long story short i moved out of my old apartment at the end of July. Truth be told it was a bit of a dump, and I hadn't REALLY been living there for a few months, just splitting the monthly rent and the electric/internet bills with my roommate who lived there full time.
So, we finally move out. Everything seems okay. Then last week I get 2 massive charges on my account. One for $1400 and one for $319. I panic, obviously, because I'm a landscaper not a doctor and these charges completely drained my checking account. After snooping around I found out that the $300 was for my old roommates new electric bill, and the $1400 was for money he owed to the old landlords!
I tried getting into contact with him through my phone and found I was blocked. Reached out to an old friend who knows him through Facebook and when she brought up the subject he blocked her also. I disputed the charges with my bank and luckily the money has been returned to me. However, I don't want to let him off the hook that easy. That, and I don't know if he can still access my bank account. What should I do?
