Hello. We recently bought a dishwasher and attached to a relatively new (1yo) ikea sink system (image). Upon first wash, we had an unpleasant sewer like smell in the kitchen (it is mild but unpleasant none the less). Please not that the dishwasher itself and dishes are fine.As you can see from the image above, there is kind of a trap but it is not exactly like normal p or s traps.My question is, where is the gas coming from and how to stop it? Do you think this trap is failing and I need a conventional trap? (Is it really a trap?) Or do you think the problem is somewhere else?Thanks!P.S. Obviously the dishwasher drain is the one coming to the top.
