I am in the middle of removing wood paneling from the walls in a bedroom. When I tear down the panels, there is a thick adhesive left behind, picture here.I've tried various solvents (mineral oil, goo gone, another I can't recall). None of them helped much. I tried sanding it and it works ok, but also damages the walls a bit. So I've decided to go with heat. What I'd like to know is should I go for a heat gun, or should I use one of those steamers for wall paper? The adhesive is on both plaster and drywall. Which would be more effective? If I use the heat gun, I don't plan to go above 140 degrees. Is that safe for the walls? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2AL7rSy
