I recently started using Ting Wireless. You pay for what you use. To break it down, I'm paying:
$6 base connection charge (per phone, but it's just me) $5 For texts (100-1000 messages) $3 for calls (0-100 min) $3 for data (0-100 MB)
It's a good option if you don't use your phone a ton, but still want to stay connected. Also, you can set alerts/limits on usage for yourself or anyone on your plan. I was able to use my unlocked phone from cricket and keep my same number.
