As the title says. my dad has tens of millions of dollars, which he has willed equally to his wife (not my mother) and me and my half-sisters. He does not expect to live much longer due to health issues, 10 years maximum. However, he keeps assuring me that I can expect a certain $ amount when he passes away. I'm worried that his wife will take all his money and give it to her biological children, and completely exclude me. She hates my guts and I wouldn't put it past her to completely cut me out, despite me being my dad's first-born child. Is there anything I can do to prevent this, besides asking my dad to include special provisions in his will to make sure I'm included? My dad is the most important person in my life, so the last thing I want to worry about when he passes is money, but at the same time it would be insulting to his legacy for his estate to be perverted by his wife who has a vendetta against me.
