Hi all! I've been desperately in search of what is turning out to be my white whale- comfortable, inexpensive work pants. I'm a social worker that does in-home work, so I really need pants that are business casual, that I can move easily in and that won't break my budget. I've tried Old Navy, Target and JCrew Factory with little luck. JCrew's seemed the most promising, except that the pants that fit my hips/flat ass/waist well were both super baggy on my legs and also supposed to be ankle length pants (they looked like high waters/shrunken pants on me).

Does anyone have any recommendations about other places I could check out for work pants that would work on a short person or come in short sizes before I resign myself to paying for tailoring? Any and all suggestions are super welcome!!
