I've used Windows laptops my whole life, but they never last very long. Some have died after 6 months, other have lasted MAYBE two years. But my friends who use Mac laptops have them on average four or five years, even longer. Since my current laptop is on its last dying breath, I need to decide whether my next laptop should be a Windows computer or Mac. I'm really leaning towards Mac, but I need help justifying the $1,000-$1,200 cost, when I can get a good Windows laptop for $700. Please advise me, /r/frugal!
Update: I forgot to ask which MacBook is the best to buy. Are the cheaper ones still just as good?
