I got my ll bean super deluxe backpack exactly five years ago. It’s had almost daily use since then. The waterproof lining on the inside is peeling off. Not only does it get all over my stuff, I’m assuming my bag is no longer waterproof. I carry around books, notebooks, and my laptop for grad school, and I don’t want that stuff getting ruined when it rains.
Now, I believe I could return it for a new one, but is that taking advantage of them? After all, five years of daily use is pretty good. But I’m a broke grad student, and replacing the bag is difficult financially.
