We spent a couple years travelling around the country in a vehicle powered by solar panels. He is now upgrading the van to a bus. The problem is that he saved up his money to purchase this bus to the exclusion of almost everything else, and now our phones are shut off. I am willing to get a phone line for just myself, but that's not the root of the matter.

I honestly think he is historically not very financially responsible (he still owes one of his friends part of a debt from over three years ago), but the issue is that he thinks he is much better with money than I am. I really don't know what to do, as my choices in the next six to twelve months will have a major impact on the course of my life for the next few years. My perspective is that he always seems to look at our money as our money, except when it's his money, and then it's just his money. I may be mistaken about this, but that's how it seems to me.

To be honest, I feel really stupid about this, and I just need some sensible advice.
