So, I’m 21, and I took a break from school so I could save money to afford it better. For a bit of background, I live with my mom who doesn’t have a job and can’t and never did help me financially.
I had to leave my job in late September and was surviving on my vacation pay and a temporary contract that I worked in a new company. I wasn’t expecting to be unemployed for this long and I couldn’t pay my credit card minimum payments. My 2 credit cards are now at their limits and I have the companies calling me every day, I never answer because I don’t know what to do or say. I’m $4000 in credit card debt(visas). The cards got to a high balance from when I was 18/19, in college trying to afford everything at once. I’m from Canada. I desperately applied for UI a few days ago. Hopefully I get approved. I’ve been applying to jobs day and night. The end of the month is approaching and I can’t sleep thinking how I won’t even be able to go anywhere if I can’t buy myself a bus pass.
What are my options?
