I've been a customer for 10 years and the last 9 years I've been able to negotiate for lower rates every time my "promotion" ended. Easy, just call and say you're cancelling, they give you a good deal which was often better than the original promotion.

My last promotion just ended and I called, but I had the worst experience. The first person I spoke too in the cancellation department could only save me $1 and I asked for a supervisor. Worst. Decision. Ever. They kept me waiting for over 45 minutes while that supervisor was "engaging with another customer." Finally I get to the supervisor and the only additional "savings" I could get was 3 months free of showtime.

Is this how it really is now?! I may end up canceling my service if that's the case. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with them last time and it just wasn't worth it
