Some additional details; I live and had the surgery in California. The total bill was around 65k and I wasn't able to pay it because I was unemployed had no assets, or any money, period. I believe they signed me up for Medi-CAL, a state funded insurance, which covered everything after the fact. I'm just wondering if this kind of reimbursement is normal and if so, where I could get some additional information about all this.
