A friend gifted us a brand new KitchenAid “artisan” series mixer. I already have one that was passed down to me from my mom that I grew up with, about 30 years old. It’s not working, and I don’t know why, but it seemed expensive to go through the shipping/diagnose/repair process to go through KitchenAid. I didn’t think I’d be this sentimental over the one I grew up with, even if it’s unusable right now. Are the differences in quality between my old vs. new KitchenAid major? Should I sell the new and use the $ to fix my old one? Or just get rid of the old one and keep the new?
