I understand the need not to put money where it doesn't need to go. The sites/programs to which I'm referring are completely free to use, so obviously I don't need to spend money on them. However, I'm also getting a valuable product which took resources to produce. Am I being frivolous if I contribute, or is it the right thing to do? If I should donate, roughly how much is reasonable?
