Hi, I need to fix a fence post. I have never used one of the EZ mender or similar fence post repair products. The upper part of the post is in good condition. Post in rocky soil. I've never used one of these. The post is connected to a gate, so it needs to be relatively secure. The gate swings next to a house, the post is on the far side of the gate (not adjacent to the house). So, are these 'quick-fixes' worth it or might I try something more robust?
