I've had some success with using services to search for better deals or to research my problem. Often, this has been a ray of hope after I have hit a wall.
For example, I have used Autolook for rental cars (Autoslash no longer works for me), Billfixers to negotiate down my Internet bill, and Fancy Hands (secretarial/assistants service) to try to find a better deal on a big purchase. I am often surprised and delighted in what these services are able to accomplish.
In like manner, I often will text or email a librarian for a specific question or to inquire about services (or resources). Librarians have also saved my bacon on numerous occasions.
What success have you had in delegating your discounting search, or enlisting others to help you?
