I talked to a financial advisor back in July and it was when I was first getting into investing. He recommended that I have a foundation that would make up at least 50% of my portfolio. He gave me three etfs to start with a good foundation being: udow, spxl, and oneq. Right now these make up around 55% of my investments. Recently I've heard that leveraged etfs are bad for long term and because of volatility. This is a individual account I plan on using in the next 4-7 years. So I'm wondering with my current 4-7 year plan are leveraged etfs still bad? Sorry if I left out any vital information.
