I bought GE this year for around $30 a share and the losses are atrocious. I appreciate the changes that are being made by leadership and am hopeful the company will be in much better shape in the future.
At this point, I don't know if I should sell and invest somewhere else or continue holding and re-investing the dividends? If I sell, I will lose about $500, but I also sold NVDA earlier this year for $2k gains. I'm hoping that selling GE will give me three benefits, opportunity to invest elsewhere, reduce capital gains for the year, and learn a lesson of not investing into individual companies without running an in depth analysis.
