Hello, I'm looking to make a portable setup with my Wii U console by putting it in a briefcase and mounting a screen on the up-facing part. However, the screen part of this project is more difficult that I anticipated, since FHD HDMI monitors under <=16 in. are a little more expensive than I would've imagined. I think I found a good solution which is to use replacement LED/LCD panels made for laptops since they're thinner and cheaper than getting an actual monitor. Now the issue comes with powering it and giving it input. The Wii U console is only capable of outputting to HDMI. However, I want to use this panel since it is a good size, res, and price, and I have no idea how to convert HDMI output to 40-pin LVDS or even power the thing. There's gonna be a 3-plug power strip as I do not plan to have this be battery operated. My questions are:How do I convert HDMI to an encoding that this panel will accept (it states it's a 40-pin connection)? How do I power this given that this will just be plugged into the wall to power everything in the case? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2fIQJ15
