I started a Facebook group for my city where, if people have or see cool stuff that would otherwise end up in the dump, they photograph it and post the address. I'm mostly trying to minimize waste, but if you had a big vehicle and lots of space you could actually do quite well for yourself by being the moderator of such a group.
However, if you're a hoarder, it might kill you.
