I started trying to find a leak. nothing in particular seems to be leaking but I noticed that the tub faucet had a large amount of hard water scalling inside (as in 1/8" or more of lime deposit that looked like it was basically pouring back towards the wall.I figure it's time to replace it anyway.I find the correct part at homedepot and try to install it. the problem is that because of the tile and what not, I can not get the faucet to bite onto the lip of the pipe.Back to home depot and find an extension pipe. now the facuet will go on and work but it sticks out two or three inches from the wall leaving a huge gap and the hole exposedand I still haven't stopped the leakhow do i get this faucet close enough to the wall to effectively keep water from going back out the hole in the wall with the pipe? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2gg4rcl
