It's the time of year, at least around me, when Nielsen sends out their survey mail. Just wanted to remind everyone that the mail itself has a few bucks in it. I got $3 cash in the envelope asking me to take the survey. I filled it out and returned it. I got a phone call today that they are sending me a journal for each TV and $30 in cash to write down what I watch on TV for a week. I told them I don't have cable or satellite TV and they said if you don't watch TV you can write that on the book and if you watch Hulu or Netflix you can record that as if it was a cable show. I know some people I've talked to have been hesitant because they thought Nielsen uses audio recording boxes to do the survey. I'm not saying this doesn't happen but I've always gotten the paper books. So don't throw out their mail if you get it without grabbing the cash and if it's worth your time, consider sending it back for the chance at making a little more.
