I started taking MMA lessons at a gym. I got injured and didn't want to make it worse so I asked if they could cancel my membership so I could take it easy.
This place didn't have any yearly contracts or anything like that, they just said as long as you give a couple days heads up we can cancel it.
So I gave them a few days heads up. I texted the guy (so there would be a record of it) requesting to cancel. He asked what happened but ignored the cancellation part. I told him, then once again mentioned me wanting to cancel... No response. I called, they didn't pick up so I left a voicemail.
Today my card was charged. I dont want to make enemies with the place because I place on going back once I've healed.
I'm not sure if I should call them and ask for a refund or contact my bank. It seems like they are extremely unorganized when it comes to the administrative part of the business so I don't think asking for a refund will have much success.
Was wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this and what would be the best course of action.
