Im in search of a combat style boot, think Corcoran Field boots or Danner Quarries/Super rain forest. Basically black leather with that chunky vibram commando sole. I do a lot of photography so it takes me everywhere from walking the city to tromping through the woods. I also am a full time student and have to walk literally across the campus to different classes (two are at opposite ends, pain in the ass.) The winters are alsp pretty gnarly out here (new england) so something that can stand up to the temperature and snow. I have my eyes set on the danners but ive heard pretty differing opinions on the danners quality. Replaceable sole and easy returns are a must
Tl;dr combat style boots (ie chunky vibram sole) that can take what i can throw at then for under $400.
