Smart/casual looking boots. So shouldn't look like work boots and shouldn't look like hiking boots, or like trainers/sneakers type boots and shouldn't be dress boots - very shiny and needing lots of maintenance.
Slip on Chelsea boots would be good. As would nubuck.
I'm in the UK so on the searches I've done here it's come up with lots of US options.
Price doesn't really matter within reason.
