So I'm adding a laundry room to the back of my basement and was planning on running a new waste pipe and replacing what I assumed was old undersized abs pipe. I was half right, and there's a clay floor drain, tied into a 10' section of 3" abs tied into clay tied back into the new PVC for the back flow valve. The floor drain water line is well below the bottom of the abs tubing, and I assume is tied into the old weeping tile. That explains the smell. The weeping tiles are tied into the waste water lines after the 10' section of abs. Can I cement the weeping tile openings and run my new section of PVC?
