...didn't realize until the first screw that my entire apartment is framed out in metal, not wood. So I can't anchor this chair into the ceiling without a significant upgrade in ability and tools, so I'm just out of my league at this point. But before I admit defeat and go buy a hanging chair stand, I have one more idea...My apartment has exposed air ducts. The big tubular kind that hang from the ceiling. At certain spots, the duct is anchored into the ceiling with a wire that wraps around the tube and is clipped together at the top, then the wire is threaded and knotted into a loop anchor in the ceiling. One of the spots at the end of the duct is far enough away from the wall that I could hang my swing from it if I could somehow unclip, then loosen the wire - then slide the chair clip in for my chain to hang the (very light) chair from. Then assumingly re-clip the wire together. Is any of this possible/safe/correct?Thank you in advance! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2gloztH
