I'm currently in NJ, hopefully moving to SD. I'm gonna be renting, and have no life skills whatsoever, so I have no idea what to expect.
I have no credit, but they accept that with extra down payments and references. Can these be friends, family? I have a limited budget, but I do have bonds and stuff I can use, but should I apply for credit now or later? If I get a card now, does that automatically turn into 'bad' credit, or does it stay at 'neutral' until I fuck it up or improve it?
What kind of questions should I be asking? I know I need to ask stuff about what form rent is gonna be in, when they can enter the apartment, but anything else?
What are they likely going to ask me, besides if I'm employed [Not currently but I'm going to send out a ton of applications a day or so before I leave], have pets [theyre pet friendly], etc?
Any other general things I should know?
