This morning I looked at my LES (pretty much my pay stub) and noticed that my pay for this pay period was only $120. I went to my admin, the people that handle my pay, and asked them why my paycheck was almost $700 less than what it usually is. I was told that they had been paying me for the wrong rank for almost a year now. The pay difference was so small that I did not notice each paycheck that I was being overpaid. Now a year later the Navy wants their money back (a total of roughly over $3,000). This month they took $1675 and next month and additional $1480 will be taken from me. Does anyone military or civilian know what I should do in this situation? Thanks.
