I just contacted my community garden where I just got a plot and gave it up. I'm selling or giving away most of my potted plants, outdoor and indoor.

I have been gardening since I was 4, and I'm 65. Over the past few years, I've had some health issues that have made it more and more difficult, and it's more like a chore than an enjoyable pastime anymore.

Plus, I'm just bored with it, and it takes up too much space in my small apartment. I'll keep some plants that are precious to me, but I'm going to try to pare down to only 10 potted plants that can life outdoors most of the year. It will be hard to choose, but it's not the first time I've had to give up all my plants, so I'm o.k. with it.

I was thinking of getting back into crafting, but honestly, I just don't want to do anything for awhile but deal with getting healthier. I'll probably just get back into reading.

This is a huge step for me. I loved gardening so much, I got a degree in horticulture, but everything has its season, and I just feel like this season is up.
