I don't think very far into the future and this one totally slipped my mind. I hope I don't come to regret it financially.
I have a certain hobby (I think what it is is irrelevant), and to "get my fix", I buy parts from the U.S. and China, combine them into something else, and sell the final product on eBay. The transformation bit itself is where I get my pleasure out of it, so when selling I price them only to offset the cost of the initial investment, PayPal/eBay fees, and shipping.
The result is me having around $30k of payments coming at me over the course of the past year, but realistically only about $250 of that is "profit". I've kept very detailed spreadsheets documenting my expenses, so these numbers are accurate.
My taxable income is $250, yes? Please? 🙏
