We're spending between $500-$600 a month on groceries for 2 adults and a 4 year old. I'd like to get this down to around $400. This includes toiletries and paper towels etc. Is this possible or am I being unrealistic here? What do most of you spend for your family and do you have any tips on lowering my cost.

I'm not into couponing as a second job. I tried it briefly and it seemed very time consuming/stressful and was only specific to items on sale at the time, which severely limits what items you can buy. I like to eat healthy and most sale items seem to be on junk etc.

Thanks for the help!
