I saw this post and wanted to make something similar, but for it to function well id need some sort of wide angle motion censor or something similar that can detect if trash is entering the trashcan. My plan was to make it for a trashcan with a 30cm diameter hole, and to give the whole rim with the iris and sensors a bevelled edge.Any suggestions for how to consistently detect incoming trash over such a large area, from up close? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2xHXNit
