Installed a barn-style door rail yesterday, in an older house (1919). The rail has 5 holes bored into it at 16" intervals to feed bolts into studs, but only the first 3 were clearly aligned with studs (given how much torque it took to turn the bolts). Kind of dark but you can see in this pic: http://ift.tt/2zMPcwq The first three left to right found studs, but the last two did not -- and though they feel pretty tight, they are not as solid as the first 3. The vertical pencil lines show you where the bolts are to be; studfinder suggested they were all studs. What can I do to make the last 2 more solid?? The closet door that will be hanging from this is light for a door -- pine, just over an inch thick. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2xjux1d
