http://ift.tt/2yUMm83 (image 2 is what happens if I press on the top of the headboard)It's a very heavy headboard, those wooden columns have to be 20 pounds each; will definitely dent the wall if someone uses pushes on it from the bed (ahem).I think I should attach some sort of bumper to the wall at the top of the headboard on the back. I've seen posts on the net for that. But I'm not sure what to do with the section where the slats (side rails?) connect to the headboard. It seems really poorly connected. It's basically some flat metal hooks that slide into a slot. They are really prone to popping out, that's why that little piece of plastic is there. It's hacky. The mattress frame is not attached to the bed frame at all. There are some bolt holes in it but I don't see any corresponding holes in the headboard. It's fine though, the mattress frame doesn't move, I've got rubber sliders under its feet. So, what should I do with this? I'm fine with just buying a new one too, if this is too much effort. But that doesn't seem very DIY. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2xMPbdA
