Our bathroom needs some updating and we've decided to start with the floor - We think once we pull up this floor, we will see some water damage near the bathtub, so there's plans to lay backerboard and self-leveling concrete before the tile. I'm getting hung up on what tile to use and would appreciate some feedback before we make a purchase and begin later this week. Here is a link of what the bathroom looks like now - BeforeWe've got a 65 sq ft bathroom; we are leaning toward 12x24 tile. Upon going to Menard's and Home Depot yesterday, we found some colors that we like but now I am torn on what material to use - ceramic or porcelain? I've read a lot of articles and posts, still not coming to a solid conclusion for what we've got. Not a ton of foot traffic as there are a max of three people living here at once, we plan to sell the house within the next couple of years so something that will be appealing to a buyer is good also. We plan to remove the wallpaper and paint the walls either a light blue or green - Probably will keep the cherry wood or a mahogany theme.I also have made the mistake of reading all the cons on the tile we looked at yesterday - I'm seeing a lot of concerns regarding different lot numbers on the boxes of tile, resulting in different patterns, warped tiles, different sizes, etc. Obviously, I want to avoid this hassle.Link to Tile we are consideringAnother oneThings I am looking for with this post - Suggestions on brand/color/material of tile to use and whether a quality sealant will minimize the tile from appearing dirty as some reviews complain about. Really not sure if price per sq ft indicates better tile or a simple markup for Home Depot. Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ztEkCy
