http://ift.tt/2gMedPU all. I'm in the process of refinishing the hardwood floors in my new house. We rented an orbital floor sander and have been going pretty hard with 36 grit sandpaper. The problem is these dark streaks in the wood that just aren't going away no matter how hard we try. You can see in one of the images that the tack strips from the original carpeting caused the worst of it. The wood is southern yellow pine. We plan on using a clear finish and sealer, so we won't be able to hide behind a dark stain.Is the solution to just keep going with the floor sander or is there some other trick we can use here? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2yVX4eM
