Hi!
I did a couple of searches, but it would appear that I am unlike the average Redditor where computers are concerned, so bear with me.
I had a MacBook Pro in college (bought it new in 2010), but since graduating I have mostly just used my company laptop (some kind of Lenovo; it's kind of a POS). I am moving on from my job soon and heading off to grad school and was hoping for some advice as to a new computer to get.
I really only need it for the Internet (social media, email, maybe Netflix) and probably Microsoft Office (although at this point I save most of my personal files on Google Docs/Sheets anyway... but I may want MS Word/Excel when I start grad school). I really hate PCs, but I'm also not willing to shell out $1500 for a Mac.
tl;dr: Don't really use a computer for anything that I can't do on my phone. What kind do I get?
