My red 98' honda accord was peeling bad due to sun damage. Wheel wells were completely rusted out. Honda did not use good paint in this era.
I saw a Jeep that was painted in rhino liner and thought wow thats neat! wondered how much it cost to have done professionally on my car. ($2000)
Harbor Frieght sells truck bedliner for $40 a can. So after sanding down the top coat I rolled the first coat on with foam roller. Then I used about 5 spray cans ($7.50 per can) to do a thin coat over top.
It cost about $100 and took about a day in a half with proper planning and hopefully I now have a long lasting durable paint job. Its not perfect but it was a fun project that definitley made my 20 year old car look respectable again. There are tutorials on youtube. And it looks better than rustoleum in my opinion. Anyway thought I'd share.
Edit: here are some before pics, also did my rims.
